Floating Body

The smell of lavender soap left over after a morning shower, the neptunian breeze that kisses my anxious skin at the end of a summer day, laying on a beach under a luminescent moon, picking up the sand with my hands and letting it cascade through my fingers, releasing the anchors on my body from a days worth of heavy sailing through the murky seas within myself, hearing the songs of the waves sing to the shores, I could almost taste happiness…almost.. hadn’t I been drowning.
